DIABETES HEALTH ALERT DOGS
$0.00

What is a Diabetic Alert Service Dog?

A Diabetic Alert Service Dog is specially trained to detect and alert to changes in their handler’s blood sugar levels — both highs (hyperglycemia) and lows (hypoglycemia) — before they become dangerous. Using their powerful sense of smell, these dogs can identify the subtle scent changes that occur as glucose levels shift, providing their handlers with time to take preventive action.

How They Help

Each Diabetic Alert Service Dog undergoes extensive scent training to identify and alert their handler through specific, reliable behaviors. These alerts can include:

• Pawing or nudging to signal a drop or rise in blood sugar

• Retrieving glucose testing kits or medication

• Alerting another person for help in emergencies

• Activating medical alert systems if their handler becomes unresponsive

Their training not only supports the physical safety of their handler but also restores independence and peace of mind.

Who Benefits from a Diabetic Alert Dog?

Diabetic Alert Service Dogs are ideal for individuals with:

• Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes

• Hypoglycemia unawareness

• Frequent or unpredictable blood sugar fluctuations

• Children or adults requiring 24/7 monitoring support

Handlers of all ages find reassurance in knowing their dog is constantly monitoring for potential danger, often catching changes before technology does.

AUTISM Service Dogs-Support, Safety and Independence

What an Autism Service Dog Can Do for Your Family

An autism service dog is so much more than a companion - they are a calming presence, a helper, and a bridge to the world around your child. Each dog we train at ST Experts is individually matched and carefully prepared to meet the specific needs of the child and family they will serve.

These incredible dogs can:

  • Provide emotional support and calm during moments of anxiety, sensory overload, or meltdowns.

  • Improve safety and security by interrupting behaviors that could lead to harm or wandering.

  • Encourage communication and social interaction, helping children engage more comfortably with peers, family members, and teachers.

  • Support developmental therapies - enhancing progress in speech, occupational, and physical therapy through gentle motivation and participation.

  • Promote independence and life skills, assisting with routines like dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene in a stress-free way.

  • Enhance focus and learning, helping children stay calm and attentive during homework or structured activities.

  • Ease sleep challenges, offering comfort and stability at bedtime.

  • Reduce screen time, replacing electronics with meaningful, hands-on engagement that nurtures emotional growth and creativity.

Beyond all of this, an autism service dog brings something no therapy or tool alone can provide - unconditional love, acceptance, and connection. They help families rediscover moments of peace, joy, and togetherness.

At SDT Experts, we don't just train dogs — we empower families to use this partnership to build confidence, independence, and harmony in everyday life. One paw print at a time, these dogs help children shine in their own beautiful way.

About our family company…

Empowering independence, one Paw at a time.

When our twin sons were just six years old we heard a loud thud and rushed into the bathroom to find one of them unconscious my husband immediately began resuscitating our son while I called for help terrified and praying he would be OK through the chaos our family dog never left our son side she stayed close calm and protective her quiet presence bringing comfort when everything else felt out of control at the hospital we learned that our son had suffered a seizure and hit his head or perhaps hit his head and that caused a seizure we didn't know what the future held but we knew one thing we had to find a way to help him while still in the hospital my husband said there has to be a way we can train our dog to help our son that single thought became the foundation of service dog experts my husband went on to train under a leading service dog trainer and mentor while I use my background and education to help children with autism and their families.

Out of our family trauma came a mission-to bring hope, healing, and independence to others through the incredible bond between people and dogs.  Now more than 15 years later, we have placed over 200 service dogs across the US and abroad.  Each dog we train carries a piece of our family’s story-a story of love, faith and unwavering hope.  As we look to the future, we are preparing the next generation of our family to continue the mission.  With God’s grace, we will keep helping families in need-one PAW at a time.
