Service Dog Experts is a family owned and operated training center with over 15 years of experience placing highly trained service dogs with the people who need them.

Our certified trainers work with positive reinforcement and behavioral science, so a dog learns to do life-changing work while staying steady, willing, and happy in it. What began with our local community now reaches families nationwide.

Laura holds a Master of Science in Education and is a certified educator in both New York and Florida. She is also a Certified Infant-Toddler Developmental Specialist, with extensive experience developing individualized educational programs, lesson plans, and developmental strategies tailored to the unique needs of children and families.

Drawing upon her educational background and expertise in child development, Laura played an instrumental role in helping her husband establish and grow their family-owned service dog business. She helped develop individualized lesson plans, treatment plans, and training strategies designed to address each client's specific developmental, emotional, behavioral, and functional needs. Her experience working closely with individuals and families has strengthened her ability to listen, understand complex needs, develop practical solutions, and build meaningful, lasting relationships.

Autism Assistance

Individually matched to the child and to the family around them, so the dog fits the whole household and not just the calendar.

Behavior and Developmental Specialist. Laura, a full-time member of our team and an owner, holds a Master of Science in Education and is a Certified Infant-Toddler Developmental Specialist. More about Laura.

How it works

From first call to lifetime support

The same path for every family, whether you are down the road in Palm City or across the country.

  1. Temperament and suitability evaluation

    Every package begins with an evaluation. A dog has to be right for this work, and the match has to be right for you.

  2. Matching

    We match the dog to the person and the household individually, taking in the condition, the daily routine, and the family around it.

  3. Training

    Full obedience and public-access training, plus task-specific training for the condition the dog is being placed for. Positive reinforcement and behavioral science throughout.

  4. Handler education

    You are taught how to work with your dog, and how the ADA and your state's rules protect that partnership. Vaccination and health certification are included.

  5. Lifetime support

    Ongoing progress reports, follow-up, and lifetime support from Service Dog Experts trainers. The relationship does not end at pickup.

$18,000 to $25,000

$200 per session minimum of 5 sessions
